STRONGER TOGETHER
Connection • Conversation • Lived Experience
Living with IBD, chronic illness or an invisible illness can sometimes feel isolating — especially when the people around you may not fully understand what everyday life can involve.
Stronger Together is about creating a welcoming space where people can connect, share lived experiences and spend time with others who understand that life with illness doesn’t always go to plan.
You don’t have to explain everything here.
What to Expect
Stronger Together is relaxed, welcoming and based on real-life experience.
There’s no pressure to speak, share your story or explain how you’re feeling. You can join the conversation, listen, meet others, or simply enjoy being somewhere you don’t have to pretend everything is fine.
You might find:
Connection
Meet people who understand some of the realities of living with chronic or invisible illness.
Conversation
Share experiences, ideas, challenges and the things that have helped you along the way.
Community
Build genuine connections in a space where good days, tough days and everything in between are welcome.
Then finish the section with:
Come as you are. Take part in whatever way feels right for you.
Who is Stronger Together for?
Stronger Together is for people living with IBD, chronic illness or invisible illness, as well as those who support someone who does.
You don’t need to have the same diagnosis, the same experiences or be at the same stage of your journey.
You might be newly diagnosed, years into it, recovering from surgery, adjusting to changes, rebuilding confidence or simply looking for people who understand that life with illness can be unpredictable.
Different experiences. Shared understanding. Stronger together.
Based on Lived Experience
Stronger Together is built around peer connection and lived experience.
We share our own experiences, ideas and perspectives, but we are not medical professionals and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
For individual health concerns, always speak with your own qualified healthcare professional.
